I got a phone quote from a local business for a sheet of glass for the top of a sideboard and was told I’d need toughened glass. I rang around for further quotes as sometimes you find a fair difference.  Not only did Hartley Glass advise me that toughened glass wouldn’t be the best choice due to its danger of shattering (from a minor impact such as coffee cup hitting the corner) but their quote was $65 cheaper as it was for non-toughened.  I was just amazed that in these times you could get anybody offering honest advice even if it meant a lesser quote.  There IS no honesty these days so this really did impress me.
